Community Languages Victoria has been contracted by the Department of Education & Training Victoria to provide professional learning activities for Victorian Community Language Schools Teachers to strengthen the delivery of quality language programs to school-aged children.

Each semester Community Languages Victoria conducts a series of professional learning activities including:


2024 Program

Teacher Training Courses

CLV is pleased to bring you the Semester 1 2024 series of Language Methodology Courses by RMIT University and Victoria University. Monash University will also be shortly announced.

Professional Development Sessions

We are excited to announce that the Professional Development Program for Semester 1, 2024 is now available for registration!
We have included some new topics this semester which will expand your knowledge and skills. We've also brought back some popular topics that are always popular and highly sought. We're offering a combination of online and face-to-face sessions (to be held in Carlton).

Please register each participant in your school separetely.

First Aid Courses

CLV is currently negotiating with CPRFirst Aid Trainer a series of First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma courses. CLS will be notified of the program when it is available.


Community Languages Schools Conference

The community languages schools conference is always an inspiring event for community schools. It gives language teachers the opportunity to network, benefit from the keynote speakers and the workshops offered.

Each year over 350 language teachers get together and enjoy the experience.

The 2024 Community Language Schools' Conference will be held on Saturday July 6th, 2024.
