Community Language Schools Funding Program

The Department of Education and Training’s (the Department) Community Language Schools Funding Program provides annual per capita funding to support not-for-profit community language schools (CLS) to deliver community language programs to Victorian school-aged students outside school hours and to preschool-aged children (where approved by the Department).

2025 CLS Grant Application:

Accredited CLS applying for funding under the Community Language Schools Funding Program in 2025 will need to submit an online application via SmartyGrants including uploading an Excel spreadsheet with their student enrolment data and campus details. The application process will commence in mid-February 2025.

Information sessions including a demonstration of SmartyGrants, will be held in early February. Attendance at ONE of the information sessions is mandatory for new CLS seeking funding for the first time in 2025.
A link to the SmartyGrants application form will be sent to all CLS following the information sessions.
